Holi Krishna...Festival of Colors

Last night I went to this thing called the Festival of Colors down in Spanish Fork. It was at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple. It's some sort of Hindu temple or something. So what exactly is this festival for? Holi (the festival...) celebrates the ancient story of Holika, a demoness who, immune to fire, burned scores of children before trying to burn a child named Prahlad. When Prahlad prayed to Lord Vishnu, Holika was burned instead. The festival commemorates that victory. Weird, right?

Pretty much, we all went and threw colored chalk at each other. Just walking around we'd get a mouthful of the color. It was disgusting. At one point we were about to take a picture and BAM someone threw a handful of green chalk right in my face-- so so gross.

Overall though the night was AMAZING! Afterwards me and Stacie went to Wal-Mart. I've never gotten so many noticeable stares in my life. It was truly wonderful--it really did make my night. For those of you who were thinking it... yes, I did go with hot tub boy (as well as a bunch of other friends). So what does this mean? You all get to see pictures of him! Yay! But... don't judge his amazingly good looks off of these pictures... we're covered in colorfulness that isn't all too attractive. Enjoy :)

No good. No good at all.

Update on hot tub boy; he's not so bad after all. Crazy, right? Yeah, that's what I thought, too. Don't get your hopes up though. It's simply a little crush. However, I do happen to have another story you might all enjoy. Tuesday nights I write an e-mail to Colton because his p-day is on Wednesdays. Well, this past Tuesday I specifically skipped the questions about guys and such-- simply because I was beginning to form this crush. Wednesday morning I woke up and I had 4 new e-mails from Colton: the e-mail he sends to his mom, the normal one he sends me, and then 2 other short ones! Well, e-mail #3 was labeled the name of my crush. OK SO NOT GOOD! I thought I was going to throw up when I saw that. Not even joking. All it said was the kids name and "Who is that? Just curious." AHHHH NOT COOL NOT COOL AT ALL! How did he know his name?!?!?! E-mail #4 was an apology for asking and saying I didn't have to respond to the previous e-mail. So then I naturally started freaking out and wondering who would have told him (since not many people even knew/know about him...). Well, it appears that Colton just might be stalking me on facebook. Why do I think this? Well, me and the hot tub boy had been having a conversation about the hot tub and then about watching a movie. This easily could have sparked Colton's curiousity into wondering if me and this hot tub boy had a little something going on between us. It's sort of funny, actually. I was at first shocked, then annoyed, then found it cute, and currently find it just super strange. It doesn't bother me that he got on facebook-- but it makes me laugh that he's worried about hot tub boy. Anyways, needless to say, next Tuesday's e-mail is going to be full of me questioning his facebooking in order to stay away from his topic of concern. Should be fun :)

The Hot Tub...

Me and Stacie decided the other night to relax and sit in our apartment complexes hot tub. Sounds simple enough, right? Ok, no. It was the strangest night of my life. To start the story off I've got to give you some background on the situation. For weeks Stacie has been telling me about this guy who had seen my picture at her apartment and has wanted to meet me. So, right before going to the hot tub I was at her apartment, and we were talking about me meeting him. Even on our walk over to the hot tub we were talking about how I was content just the way I was (without knowing him that is...). Well, we get to the hot tub, and guess who's there? Uh huh, the kid who had been wanting to meet me. HOW AWKWARD! There I was, in my swimming suit, and I had to meet the kid who thinks I'm cute for the very first time. BAH! Horrible. But don't worry... the whole thing gets even more strange. As we're sitting there minding our own business another guy starts talking to us. He told us he had just gotten off his mission in December. Stacie, being the nice girl she is asked "Where did you go on your mission?" He said "Michigan." So obviously I say "My brother is there right now. He's in the Lansing mission." The guy then asked who my brother was. When I told him, he began freaking out-- literally. Apparently Nathan was his favorite companion from his whole mission. He continued to tell me stories for about 20 minutes. It was quite entertaining, and also pretty funny that I met him... sitting in that blasted hot tub. Needless to say, it was quite the night for me. One which has caused me to debate ever returning to the hot tub...

I guess I got tagged...

Well, I'm not sure why I'm doing this... but here it goes....
1. I leave wonderful little Provo nearly every weekend to come home. Why you might ask? Simple: Guys are gross. It's an easy getaway for me. Plus, I just really like not having to cook. Oh and there's always the added bonus of not having to share my room. Ok, yeah, that's the best part.
2. I have a serious addiction. Gilmore girls. I watch it constantly... I really can't help it. I have the first 6 seasons and I'm planning on getting the 7th shortly. Seriously... you should watch it. You won't be disappointed. Unless you're a guy. Then you might be.
3. I break really strange bones, like my femur and tail bone. It's not like I do anything crazy to break them. When I broke my femur all I did was fell off my bike. I didn't crash, or get hit, or even fall hard. I simply... fell. And with my tail bone all I did was slipped on ice while walking to my friends car. Lets just say... I'm strange like that.
4. I got a free Sonicare toothbrush, and now I have 2 sisters that hate me. Oh, and a brother-in-law. (However, his reasons for hating me could have to do with him owing me Cafe Rio)
5. This might come as a shock-- but I am the favorite aunt in the family. How do I know this? Well, they've all told me so. Including Kaylee. (Minus Ava of course... she only loves her Dad and Uncle Ryan)
6. At night, when I'm in my room and on my computer, I chat with my roommate on MSN and Facebook. Yes, she's in the apartment, too. We enjoy chatting on MSN. We're just dumb like that...
7. I'm going to die of a heart attack. Why? Because I'm seriously in love with french fries. It's a problem, really. When I was sick last week there was a rare moment where I didn't crave them. Luckily for my stomach, that's changed and I once again crave them on a daily basis. Good for my stomach, bad for my heart. But whatever. They're good.

Ok... now, I have no idea how to do the linking thing. Plus, the only people who look at my blog have already been tagged. (except maybe Beth and Joel.. if you haven't been tagged, well, uh, I suppose you now are.)

The rules are:
1. Link to the person that tagged you, and post the rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 random and or weird facts about yourself.
3. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.
4. Let each person know that they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Dating? SICK!

Everyone keeps on telling me to go on dates. Ok, no. That's just not going to happen. I was talking to Beth earlier this evening... and I decided that I actually find it fun to turn guys down. For example, Saturday night me and the girls (Morgan & Stacie-- Hence the picture) went to a dance. We were just minding our own business and dancing the night away when a group of guys came up and one of them asked me to dance. I politely turned him down. It was the reaction that followed that made it so enjoyable. His friends, along with the guy who asked me to dance, were shocked that I had actually turned him down. Are you kidding me? Eww. I don't want to dance with any guy but Colton. And we all know that's not going to happen for a couple years. So anyways. His friends loved the fact that I'd turned him down. They actually came up and gave me high five! Apparently this guy NEVER gets turned down or something. (Not sure why considering he really wasn't that cute...) However, I gave his friends, along with myself and my friends, the entertainment of making him squirm :) See? Now what's more fun then that, right? I think I'll make this turning guys down thing a habit... Or wait, maybe I already have. Either way... I'm really not into dating at the moment-- Sorry everyone!

Ok everyone.. you can stop bugging me now...

So, everyone keeps bugging me about getting a blog. Not sure why, since all I do is work and go to school (not much to talk about...), but whatever. Here goes. :) For anyone who doesn't already know, I'm a freshman at BYU... it's rough, not gonna lie. I shouldn't have taken easy classes my senior year. But that's ok, I'm adjusting. In fact, I might actually pass a few tests this semester, so that's encouraging. I keep telling my mom that I'm going to drop out and go to hair school, but she won't let me. Lets see, what else... I have a "missionary" if you want to call it that. So everyone always bugs me about going on dates and what not. But I don't want to go on pity dates. So I won't. (Deal with it Joel...) Me and Joel have a bet about when I'll get married. Lets just say, he already owes me Cafe Rio. Ok, this blog thing is not such a good idea. I have nothing to say. Uh...
