Life of the Pink Spandex...

Let me start out by telling you all that living in Provo brings out the strangeness in me. Ok, wait, I was weird beforehand, too. Once upon a time ago (senior year...) I had to dress in crazy/bright clothes for the first day of school. Why? Because we were having an assembly, and as a student council member I had to dress crazy and dance on stage to signify the theme "Stand Out" that we had chosen. That's where this weirdness all started. In my quest for some bright clothing I was looking through our families costume box and came across some wonderful, hot pink, full body spandex. Where did this wonderful item come from? Apparently they were Kim's when she was younger (as in.. 7 or so)... from gymnastics or something? All I know is that they were perfect, and I needed to wear them. That's where it all started...

I then wore them for part of a Halloween costume that same year...

And then again for this horrible date auction I had to be in (Lucky for you I don't have any pictures of that event on my computer.)

There aren't many opportunities to wear this wonderful piece of clothing, however I've found one use that might make them become even more frequent in my wardrobe. What is this wonderful event I have come to love? 80's DANCING! Hahahaha Yes, now you can all be worried :)

I know, I know. It's not completely "80's"... It's more just... well, crazy. But it's so much fun to just be able to dress up and look like whatever. Plus, not many people own such wonderful spandex as I do.

Me and Stacie were quite the duo in our 80's attire. We were so bright and colorful. Needless to say we were given multiple compliments throughout the night on our wardrobe. Had we made it to the dance earlier I'm sure we would have won a medal...

This Picture I had to make nice and large simply so you could all get the full effect of our makeup and hair. Yes, Stacie was far more 80's than me.. but I think she can pull it off better. Her bangs were amazing, with an insane amount of hairspray to top it all off. My side ponytail? Classic.
Ok, so maybe this isn't really what people looked like in the 80's. (We didn't live through them for all too long...) But, we certainly enjoyed ourselves. :)

  1. Find a job
  2. Get supple
  3. Stop being awkward around hot tub boy
  4. Save all my change to buy a love sac
  5. Sit by the pool, all day, every day.. at least every day that I don't have work... that is, when I get a job.. hmm...

5 Snacks I Love...
  1. Fruit Snacks
  2. Otter Pops
  3. Popcorn
  4. Cheetos
  5. Brownies... but they hurt my tummy. (I had some tonight... no bueno for the stomach, but so tasty and supple.)

5 things I will never wear again...

  1. Poofy sleeves. SICK!
  2. Short shorts-- they're just gross.
  3. Big, large, awkward bows in my hair
  4. Socks with sandals. It's just wrong.
  5. Overalls. They just aren't me...

5 Things I would do if I were a Billionaire...
  1. Buy a whole mall
  2. Go to every Six Flags everywhere
  3. Go visit all the Amish communities... because they're cool people.
  4. Drop out of college
  5. Buy myself a nice large house with a huge swimming pool in the back

5 Bad Habits...

  1. Consumption of french fries.
  2. Biting my nails. Sick.
  3. Shopping
  4. Trying to constantly please everyone
  5. Watching "The Hills." Stupidest show ever, but I am addicted.. and poor little Kelsi is now addicted. No good no good.

5 of my favorite toys...Nostalgics
  1. Barbies, even though I was the deprived child in the family and got next to none during my entire lifetime.
  2. Polly Pockets, and yes I do have more than Bethany :)
  3. My bedtime teddy bears. The ones with the hats, ya know? Oddly enough I would chew on the tip of their pj hats. So strange, I know.
  4. Easy bake oven. However, it wasn't that easy. I still burned food.
  5. Well, it's not really a toy. But I went through a stage where I was obsessed with Beauty and the Beast. I got this really cool plastic tent thing that I would have set up in my room. It honestly was probably the coolest thing ever! I'm pretty sure it was a super depressing day when I had to give it to DI... I envy the little girl who got it after me.
I hate tagging people... I dunno who to tag... sorry, these things always die with me :)

Update?

Everyone keeps on getting after me for not updating this thing. Hey, not my fault... I have a life ;) Ok really I don't, but I'm going to pretend I do just so I can update this.

If you know me at all you know I'm still pretty much a little kid in a lot of ways. I do really weird things like color randomly, play with play dough, and even watch Hannah Montana. My most recent little kid adventure was going to a carnival. Not even gonna lie it was one of the BEST nights of my whole life!! Me and Stacie were totally little kids again and we loved every minute of it.

After finishing my last final I went on a road trip to St.George with my best friend, Stacie! It was so so so amazing to just sit, relax, and do NOTHING! We literally just sat around for 5 days in the sun. It was outstanding :) My little hot tub friend was down at Zions at the same time, therefore... we hung out one of the nights. Yes, it was rather exciting. Yes, we did cuddle. Yes, everything is still awkward with us. And no, we are not "together," sorry if I was starting to get you all excited, but it's just not gonna happen! We went to In-N-Out... it was amazing. But here's the real shocker, I ATE GLUTEN! Why? Because it sounded so so good... and it was totally worth the 5 hours of pain that followed, believe it or not.

Instead of moving home for the Summer, I'm actually staying in Provo. Stacie made a pro/con list about whether I should or shouldn't stay in Provo with her.. and, the pro list for staying seriously outweighed the cons. Therefore, here I am in nice little Provo still. It's actually really nice because it is just me and Stacie in an apartment that is meant for 4 girls. Amazingly enough, all of our crap fills it... so it's probably good that it's only us 2.

Ok, well, I'm just not sure what else to tell you all. I think I'll just add a nice little collage of pictures from my recent events in life. Enjoy my wonderfully exciting life that ya'll have been waiting weeks to hear about :)

Holi Krishna...Festival of Colors

Last night I went to this thing called the Festival of Colors down in Spanish Fork. It was at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple. It's some sort of Hindu temple or something. So what exactly is this festival for? Holi (the festival...) celebrates the ancient story of Holika, a demoness who, immune to fire, burned scores of children before trying to burn a child named Prahlad. When Prahlad prayed to Lord Vishnu, Holika was burned instead. The festival commemorates that victory. Weird, right?

Pretty much, we all went and threw colored chalk at each other. Just walking around we'd get a mouthful of the color. It was disgusting. At one point we were about to take a picture and BAM someone threw a handful of green chalk right in my face-- so so gross.

Overall though the night was AMAZING! Afterwards me and Stacie went to Wal-Mart. I've never gotten so many noticeable stares in my life. It was truly wonderful--it really did make my night. For those of you who were thinking it... yes, I did go with hot tub boy (as well as a bunch of other friends). So what does this mean? You all get to see pictures of him! Yay! But... don't judge his amazingly good looks off of these pictures... we're covered in colorfulness that isn't all too attractive. Enjoy :)

No good. No good at all.

Update on hot tub boy; he's not so bad after all. Crazy, right? Yeah, that's what I thought, too. Don't get your hopes up though. It's simply a little crush. However, I do happen to have another story you might all enjoy. Tuesday nights I write an e-mail to Colton because his p-day is on Wednesdays. Well, this past Tuesday I specifically skipped the questions about guys and such-- simply because I was beginning to form this crush. Wednesday morning I woke up and I had 4 new e-mails from Colton: the e-mail he sends to his mom, the normal one he sends me, and then 2 other short ones! Well, e-mail #3 was labeled the name of my crush. OK SO NOT GOOD! I thought I was going to throw up when I saw that. Not even joking. All it said was the kids name and "Who is that? Just curious." AHHHH NOT COOL NOT COOL AT ALL! How did he know his name?!?!?! E-mail #4 was an apology for asking and saying I didn't have to respond to the previous e-mail. So then I naturally started freaking out and wondering who would have told him (since not many people even knew/know about him...). Well, it appears that Colton just might be stalking me on facebook. Why do I think this? Well, me and the hot tub boy had been having a conversation about the hot tub and then about watching a movie. This easily could have sparked Colton's curiousity into wondering if me and this hot tub boy had a little something going on between us. It's sort of funny, actually. I was at first shocked, then annoyed, then found it cute, and currently find it just super strange. It doesn't bother me that he got on facebook-- but it makes me laugh that he's worried about hot tub boy. Anyways, needless to say, next Tuesday's e-mail is going to be full of me questioning his facebooking in order to stay away from his topic of concern. Should be fun :)

The Hot Tub...

Me and Stacie decided the other night to relax and sit in our apartment complexes hot tub. Sounds simple enough, right? Ok, no. It was the strangest night of my life. To start the story off I've got to give you some background on the situation. For weeks Stacie has been telling me about this guy who had seen my picture at her apartment and has wanted to meet me. So, right before going to the hot tub I was at her apartment, and we were talking about me meeting him. Even on our walk over to the hot tub we were talking about how I was content just the way I was (without knowing him that is...). Well, we get to the hot tub, and guess who's there? Uh huh, the kid who had been wanting to meet me. HOW AWKWARD! There I was, in my swimming suit, and I had to meet the kid who thinks I'm cute for the very first time. BAH! Horrible. But don't worry... the whole thing gets even more strange. As we're sitting there minding our own business another guy starts talking to us. He told us he had just gotten off his mission in December. Stacie, being the nice girl she is asked "Where did you go on your mission?" He said "Michigan." So obviously I say "My brother is there right now. He's in the Lansing mission." The guy then asked who my brother was. When I told him, he began freaking out-- literally. Apparently Nathan was his favorite companion from his whole mission. He continued to tell me stories for about 20 minutes. It was quite entertaining, and also pretty funny that I met him... sitting in that blasted hot tub. Needless to say, it was quite the night for me. One which has caused me to debate ever returning to the hot tub...

I guess I got tagged...

Well, I'm not sure why I'm doing this... but here it goes....
1. I leave wonderful little Provo nearly every weekend to come home. Why you might ask? Simple: Guys are gross. It's an easy getaway for me. Plus, I just really like not having to cook. Oh and there's always the added bonus of not having to share my room. Ok, yeah, that's the best part.
2. I have a serious addiction. Gilmore girls. I watch it constantly... I really can't help it. I have the first 6 seasons and I'm planning on getting the 7th shortly. Seriously... you should watch it. You won't be disappointed. Unless you're a guy. Then you might be.
3. I break really strange bones, like my femur and tail bone. It's not like I do anything crazy to break them. When I broke my femur all I did was fell off my bike. I didn't crash, or get hit, or even fall hard. I simply... fell. And with my tail bone all I did was slipped on ice while walking to my friends car. Lets just say... I'm strange like that.
4. I got a free Sonicare toothbrush, and now I have 2 sisters that hate me. Oh, and a brother-in-law. (However, his reasons for hating me could have to do with him owing me Cafe Rio)
5. This might come as a shock-- but I am the favorite aunt in the family. How do I know this? Well, they've all told me so. Including Kaylee. (Minus Ava of course... she only loves her Dad and Uncle Ryan)
6. At night, when I'm in my room and on my computer, I chat with my roommate on MSN and Facebook. Yes, she's in the apartment, too. We enjoy chatting on MSN. We're just dumb like that...
7. I'm going to die of a heart attack. Why? Because I'm seriously in love with french fries. It's a problem, really. When I was sick last week there was a rare moment where I didn't crave them. Luckily for my stomach, that's changed and I once again crave them on a daily basis. Good for my stomach, bad for my heart. But whatever. They're good.

Ok... now, I have no idea how to do the linking thing. Plus, the only people who look at my blog have already been tagged. (except maybe Beth and Joel.. if you haven't been tagged, well, uh, I suppose you now are.)

The rules are:
1. Link to the person that tagged you, and post the rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 random and or weird facts about yourself.
3. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.
4. Let each person know that they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
