I'm apostate.

That's right, read the title and weep. Ok NOT. However... I was told that not only I, but everyone within Utah is apostate. Humph. Weird, right? Now let me put it into the context of the story for you.

Once upon a time Paige was working on finalizing her schedule for winter 2009. Through all the the hustle and bustle Paige concluded that it would be in her best interest to attempt getting into a different D&C class. Why? Because she learns from good teachers who involve the students and make it interesting... not from teachers who give ridiculously long tests. So, last night Paige was at her apartment spending quality time with her roommates (old & new. Yes, a NEW one--HOOORAY!), as well as another acquaintance. As everyone was delighting in each others company Paige remembered her desire to switch classes, so she got online and to her excitment the teacher she wanted had an opening! What a good night. However, the new roommate decided to give her a bad time about switching into an easier class etc etc. The thing the new roommate didn't understand was that Paige wasn't switching simply because the class was easier, but because it was more adept to her way of learning.

Somehow, Paige switching D&C classes lead to the statement that "All mormons from Utah are apostate." WHAT?!?!?!?!?!??!?! Yeah. That's exactly what I thought. Needless to say, Paige was pretty upset at such a BOLD statement being said not only to her, but ABOUT her. The new roommate continued to talk about how there are different types of mormons blah blah blah. It went on that Paige somehow contained her anger and explained a few points that the accuser possibly hadn't noticed. Somehow avoiding a full blown arguement.

But seriously, WHO SAYS THAT? Who makes such a BOLD and HASTY and so UNTRUE generalization about a state as a WHOLE? I realize that there are people who don't like Utah. That's fine. There are particular places that I'm not all-too fond of either. But goodness, that was a direct cut to ME! Who knew that switching classes would cause me to become apostate? hahaha. Love it. Truly. So entertaining.

I really do love my new roommate, though. Despite that one little obstacle we're going to have to get over I feel she's a HUGE improvement over the last one. I have great roommates, classes shouldn't be overly stressful this semester, Colton only has 10 1/2 more months before he comes HOME, my ward is amazing, and life is just GREAT :) (oh.. and I'm not apostate....hahah)

My final thought: If you don't like the people in Utah, then DON'T LIVE IN UTAH! Duh. :)

A few thoughts due to bordem in stats.

Last day of class.
I like when the semester is over.

Stacie is going to Dixie. I'm going to disown her. Why? Because, it's worse than UVU!!!!!! UVU is bad, why? Because. It's easier than HIGH SCHOOL. Pathetic.

I got a popcorn maker. And a hot chocolate machine. My life is complete.

Stacie decorated the apartment for my birthday. I had to wear a crown and necklaces all day. My New Testament teacher made me wear them all through class. Then I got picked on.

Next semester I plan to break at least 5 guys hearts. Why not add to the list?

There is a kid in my stats class, he looks like a guy off dumb and dumber. Bowl cut. He is really annoying. Sometimes, I want to throw stuff at him real bad.

I have an 8-12 page paper due tomorrow. I probably should do that...

When I get a new roommate one day, I'm going to convince her that Stacie is practically the devil. Stacie is going to try to convince her that she's had a baby, and it has been extremely difficult to cope with the lack of child support. So now, the baby is in foster care. And Stacie is a liar face.

We taped our sink up. So that roommates won't put dishes in it.

Our Christmas decorations are beautiful. I personally enjoy the pictures that fall off the walls and onto my head on a regular basis. My snowflakes are ugly. I can't make good snowflakes. Except I did once. But now, it's hanging at Stacie's sisters apartment, so I can't even look at it.

I have ugs. They are ugly. But they are comfy. And warm. One day, I am going to tuck them into my jeans so that I can bug all the guys at BYU. Because that's what I do.

I love sugar plums. They are my favorite candy at Christmas time. Stacie doesn't like them. She's weird.

I <3 Halloween. A lot.

First things first. Halloween should be more than once a year. Dressing up is just plain fun. Last night me and my 2 friends, Stacie and Bre, went party hopping. Dressing up + 4 parties in one night = perfection :)

Bre (Diva girly), me (80's zebra... or something..), & Stacie (creepy dead woman).

Bre, Stacie, & me--Close up of the wonderful makeup.

Back of my hair. It was CRAZY! And yes, pieces ARE crimped. hahaha

Side view of my hair... with the wonderful pink streaks throughout. (Don't tell my hair stylist that I used spray color in my hair--she'd kill me!!)

@ Party #3... Me, James, & Bre

This is Scott. He was Quail Man (from Doug). Um, it just made me laugh. So, I'm posting it. hahahahhahahaha.

Well... I think there should be Halloween 3 times a year. And if not 3 times, at least 2 times. If 2 times doesn't work, I guess I'll have to be content with once a year. But seriously, how awesome would it be to have a Halloween in February?

It's getting too cold too fast.

Well, unfortunately it's that time of year. I'm freezing already. Autumn is here. I know I know, the leaves are all super pretty and such... but honestly, that cold air just does not do it for me. I HATE THE COLD. I'm meant to live in a warm climate where the sun shines all the time.

Rain is nice--every once in awhile. But if you have naturally curly hair you understand my dislike for it.

Snow is pretty--for the first day. But then you slip and break your tailbone and realize that it's not so pretty after all.

However, these seasons are unavoidable here in Utah. Therefore, I must find ways to cope with them. Rain?--Make sure my hair is curly that day. Snow?--Walk very very carefully and look like an idiot, reminding myself to pick up my feet the entire time. Cold?-- Buy a new jacket :)

Seriously now... How CUTE is that? :)

The Last One Standing--I Mean, Waiting. Sad.

So... about a month or so ago I went to lunch with one of Colton's best friends girlfriends. It was really fun to talk about our missionary boys and how they are doing. She then told me that of her missionaries 11 or so close friends that left about the same time as Colton and her boy, only me, her, and 1 other girl were still "waiting" (I say that term loosely...) for our boys.

Well, this morning I found out that she, too, just got engaged. WHAT?!?!?!?!?! NO WAY! I'm the last one who hasn't written off my boy! SAD! When she first told me she was engaged, for a short time I lost hope in my ability to wait. I thought for sure that if anyone would wait for their missionary it would be her. I hung out with her and her boy enough to think that they were meant to be! However... I'm so so happy for her and her fiance. She's very excited and is 100% sure it's the right thing to do. So who am I to complain? I just can't believe that I'm the last one waiting!

I have to break the news to Colton--he might take it harder than her actual missionary will! Ok, probably not. But... I am nervous to tell him. He'll be just as shocked as I am, and probably worried about me waiting, too. I'm determined to beat the odds (but that doesn't mean I can't have fun while doing so...). Wish me luck! (Statistics seem to prove I'll need it...)

Photoshootness.

Last night me and Stacie decided to go outside and take pictures for no apparent reason other than we're both extremely strange. Needless to say, it keeps things interesting in the apartment. Random picture taking is our thing, that's for sure. Here are just a few from our crazy night:

Just hanging out.... literally.

We were um... hiding behind the couch? Who knows...

Ok, so I'm not sure how many of you I've told, but Colton made me a pillow before he left on his mission. It's my favorite shirt of his made into a pillow :) I loveeeeeeeee it. So so much. Here's a picture of it :)

This is me and my pillow getting supple on the couch. It's the next best thing to having Colton here, right? He gave me a bottle of his cologne along with the pillow, so it can always smell like him. It's really the most wonderful thing--ever!
