The Last One Standing--I Mean, Waiting. Sad.

So... about a month or so ago I went to lunch with one of Colton's best friends girlfriends. It was really fun to talk about our missionary boys and how they are doing. She then told me that of her missionaries 11 or so close friends that left about the same time as Colton and her boy, only me, her, and 1 other girl were still "waiting" (I say that term loosely...) for our boys.

Well, this morning I found out that she, too, just got engaged. WHAT?!?!?!?!?! NO WAY! I'm the last one who hasn't written off my boy! SAD! When she first told me she was engaged, for a short time I lost hope in my ability to wait. I thought for sure that if anyone would wait for their missionary it would be her. I hung out with her and her boy enough to think that they were meant to be! However... I'm so so happy for her and her fiance. She's very excited and is 100% sure it's the right thing to do. So who am I to complain? I just can't believe that I'm the last one waiting!

I have to break the news to Colton--he might take it harder than her actual missionary will! Ok, probably not. But... I am nervous to tell him. He'll be just as shocked as I am, and probably worried about me waiting, too. I'm determined to beat the odds (but that doesn't mean I can't have fun while doing so...). Wish me luck! (Statistics seem to prove I'll need it...)

Photoshootness.

Last night me and Stacie decided to go outside and take pictures for no apparent reason other than we're both extremely strange. Needless to say, it keeps things interesting in the apartment. Random picture taking is our thing, that's for sure. Here are just a few from our crazy night:

Just hanging out.... literally.

We were um... hiding behind the couch? Who knows...

Ok, so I'm not sure how many of you I've told, but Colton made me a pillow before he left on his mission. It's my favorite shirt of his made into a pillow :) I loveeeeeeeee it. So so much. Here's a picture of it :)

This is me and my pillow getting supple on the couch. It's the next best thing to having Colton here, right? He gave me a bottle of his cologne along with the pillow, so it can always smell like him. It's really the most wonderful thing--ever!

NO--I HAVEN'T forgotten my missionary boy :)

(Picture from Coltons first city in Italy. Isn't it amazing? Shooooot I wanna be there!!)

Yes, I know how my posts have made things appear. It seems that I no longer think about, care for, write, nor miss my missionary. Whatever. I totally do. All the guys I have been talking about are just fun and games that help me distract my mind. Sooooo. How is Colton doing? AMAZING! He's been gone for 7 1/2 months! I'm sure it seems like time's flying for everyone, but it's NOT for me. It's been a slow 7 1/2 months. However, slowly but surely it's getting to the one year mark. WAHOO! Right now he's serving in Mestre... which is about a 10 minute or so bus ride to VENICE! I'm pretty much insanely jealous of him. I'd love so much to be in Italy!

(This is by far one of my favorite pictures that he's sent me. What an amazing place to be!!)

Every week I get both an e-mail and a letter from him (he really really REALLY doesn't want me to forget about him... haha). Every e-mail/letter I get I can tell that his testimony is growing by the day. It's amazing. For those of you who knew Colton when we started dating... you know what a big change that is for him. He grew and changed so much in the 1 1/2 years that we dated before he left, and the mission is only helping him out more. It's amazing. Probably the best thing to ever happen to him.

Ok, so Coltons last companion spent a LOT of time on the internet on p-days. Colton would get bored. So, he took a picture that I had sent him (I was kissing Barney in the original...) and put it together with a picture of himself... to sort of make it look like I was going to kiss his cheek. (It's not very good because it was with paint and not photoshop). I think it's hilarious. hahaha

Ok, so as you can all see... I HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN ABOUT COLTON! He's doing amazing and loving every second of his mission. He keeps telling me that time is flying by for him. I love that, because it means that he's focusing and working hard :)

80's hot guy. Dot dawg.

I know, none of you understand that title... it's a joke between me and my roommate. When we think someone is hot we say "Hot guy. Dot dawg." Not really for any apparent reason other than we are extremelyyyyyyyyyy strange. Oh well. I guess that's just who I am.

Sooooo. Last night I hung out with 80's boy! OH MY!!!!!!! He is SOOO good looking! I think I had forgotten in the last weeks time just how attractive he actually is! (Not to mention he's pretty much loaded). Anyways. He met up with me at a party I was at. (I figured that would be a good hanging out place since there would be other people there, too.) Afterwards, Me, him, and my roommate went to get ice cream and then to a park to look at the stars. It was so fun! He is SO easy to talk to... he's gorgeous... he has amazing eyes... he dresses freaking nice... he has a nice truck... a radar detector (I totally want one)...he tells funny jokes... he smells good... ok, the list could PROBABLY go on, but I'll stop.

Exciting, right? Ok no. I shouldn't have hung out with him. Why? Because he is moving back to Cali on THURSDAY! That's for the rest of the summer! :( saddddd.

Well, now you know. 80's boy is perfect in every way possible. (Well, as far as I can tell from the little I've hung out with him. hahaha). I guess I'll just have to stick with my ex-boyfriend for the summer. Maybe 80's boy could be a fall fling. Hmmmm.

Joel, This One's For You--Dawg.

ME AND MY EX-BOYFRIEND KISSED! OMG, WTF, WWJD. Yes, you heard me... the last thing? It means What Would Jesus Do. What would he do in this situation? He wouldn't lie. Therefore, I will not lie-- we didn't kiss. But, I got you super duper excited, didn't I? Yeah, that's what I thought.

Ok, so here's the deal--Joel got super upset with me yesterday for my lack of new posts. So, I'm pretending (once again) that I've got a life to tell you all about. First things first--me and hot tub boy? Totally didn't happen. Yeah, we cuddled. Yeah, he tried kissing me (I hit him in the face with a pillow to prevent it...). Yeah, we're attracted to each other. But NO, there was NO chemistry! None. Nada. Zippo. Zilch. Therefore, that era of my life had to come to an end. Sad, but true. Oh so true.

So what does this mean for my current/future love life? Well, here's the deal. There's this kid from my ward last year who I used to call my boyfriend. Why? Because he was the cutest guy in the ward... so when i referred to him, I'd just say he was my "boyfriend". That way, all of my roommates knew exactly who I was talking about. However, as all good things must eventually end... our fake relationship had to end as well. I soon began to refer to him as my "ex-boyfriend."

I bet you're all wondering what that had to do with anything. WELL, me and him have started hanging out! Crazy? Yes. But rather exciting. I'm not sure what I want out of the whole thing yet... but I'll tell you this... I wouldn't be surprised if something DID happen. :)

Ok, thirdly on my love list of boys-ness. I went to an 80's dance party last Saturday and met an EXTREMELY attractive guy. MmmHmmm. We'll refer to him as 80's boy from here on out. Well, he actually just called me maybe an hour ago and asked me to go on a DATE with him. Unfortunately, I had to decline do to previous engagements (SECONDHAND SERENADE CONCERT THAT I WOULDN'T MISS FOR THE WORLD!!!) So anyways, he said he's going to give me a call later this week so we can work something out. I guess we'll see what happens with 80's boy...

Other candidates for the reward of my heart? Well, really only one other... but he's pretty far out there. We'll call him army boy. He constantly has wanted to hang out for the past 6 months. It never seems to work out. We'll leave it at that...

So there you have it, Joel. The update of my love life, lack thereof, or better yet the true desires and intentions of my heart.

(****Slight disclaimer... I'm still head over heels for Colton... I don't want any of you getting the wrong ideas about my intentions with any of these worthy contestants....)

Life of the Pink Spandex...

Let me start out by telling you all that living in Provo brings out the strangeness in me. Ok, wait, I was weird beforehand, too. Once upon a time ago (senior year...) I had to dress in crazy/bright clothes for the first day of school. Why? Because we were having an assembly, and as a student council member I had to dress crazy and dance on stage to signify the theme "Stand Out" that we had chosen. That's where this weirdness all started. In my quest for some bright clothing I was looking through our families costume box and came across some wonderful, hot pink, full body spandex. Where did this wonderful item come from? Apparently they were Kim's when she was younger (as in.. 7 or so)... from gymnastics or something? All I know is that they were perfect, and I needed to wear them. That's where it all started...

I then wore them for part of a Halloween costume that same year...

And then again for this horrible date auction I had to be in (Lucky for you I don't have any pictures of that event on my computer.)

There aren't many opportunities to wear this wonderful piece of clothing, however I've found one use that might make them become even more frequent in my wardrobe. What is this wonderful event I have come to love? 80's DANCING! Hahahaha Yes, now you can all be worried :)

I know, I know. It's not completely "80's"... It's more just... well, crazy. But it's so much fun to just be able to dress up and look like whatever. Plus, not many people own such wonderful spandex as I do.

Me and Stacie were quite the duo in our 80's attire. We were so bright and colorful. Needless to say we were given multiple compliments throughout the night on our wardrobe. Had we made it to the dance earlier I'm sure we would have won a medal...

This Picture I had to make nice and large simply so you could all get the full effect of our makeup and hair. Yes, Stacie was far more 80's than me.. but I think she can pull it off better. Her bangs were amazing, with an insane amount of hairspray to top it all off. My side ponytail? Classic.
Ok, so maybe this isn't really what people looked like in the 80's. (We didn't live through them for all too long...) But, we certainly enjoyed ourselves. :)

  1. Fruit Snacks
  2. Otter Pops
  3. Popcorn
  4. Cheetos
  5. Brownies... but they hurt my tummy. (I had some tonight... no bueno for the stomach, but so tasty and supple.)

  5. Overalls. They just aren't me...

5 Things I would do if I were a Billionaire...

  2. Go to every Six Flags everywhere
  3. Go visit all the Amish communities... because they're cool people.
  4. Drop out of college

5 Bad Habits...

  1. Consumption of french fries.
  2. Biting my nails. Sick.
  3. Shopping
  4. Trying to constantly please everyone
  5. Watching "The Hills." Stupidest show ever, but I am addicted.. and poor little Kelsi is now addicted. No good no good.

5 of my favorite toys...Nostalgics
  1. Barbies, even though I was the deprived child in the family and got next to none during my entire lifetime.
  2. Polly Pockets, and yes I do have more than Bethany :)
  3. My bedtime teddy bears. The ones with the hats, ya know? Oddly enough I would chew on the tip of their pj hats. So strange, I know.
  4. Easy bake oven. However, it wasn't that easy. I still burned food.
  5. Well, it's not really a toy. But I went through a stage where I was obsessed with Beauty and the Beast. I got this really cool plastic tent thing that I would have set up in my room. It honestly was probably the coolest thing ever! I'm pretty sure it was a super depressing day when I had to give it to DI... I envy the little girl who got it after me.
I hate tagging people... I dunno who to tag... sorry, these things always die with me :)
